| The
pueblo-style design for this newly constructed home was chosen because of
its substantial cost savings. For example, the inexpensive roof associated
with this design saved thousands of dollars, which the residents were able
to apply towards interior upgrades. The unique challenge with this home
was building it on a new foundation consisting of a couple dozen piles that
were sunk to a depth of 35 feet into the earth. This was necessary, since
the original foundation had been built on an existing landfill that proved
unstable. |
